THE MARBLE SOUNDS

Marble Sounds is a Belgian indie pop band formed by Pieter Van Dessel (vocals, guitar, keyboard), Frederik Bastiaensen (bass), Johan De Coster (drums), Gianni Marzo (guitar, dobro, vocals) and Christophe Vandewoude (keyboard, glockenspiel and vocals). The group rose to fame with his first album titled Nice is Good, which got good reviews in the main lists of Belgium and two of their songs (The Time to Sleep and Good Occasion) reached several positions in the charts of the country.

A TALENTED PINTER

FRIDA KAHLO

Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo y Calderon, as her name appears on her birth certificate was born on July 6, 1907 in the house of her parents, known as La Casa Azul (The Blue House), in Coyoacan. At the time, this was a small town on the outskirts of Mexico City.

Frida Kahlo once said, "I paint myself because I am often alone and I am the subject I know best". Her mother had a special easel made for her so she could paint in bed, and her father lent her his box of oil paints and some brushes.

As a young artist, Kahlo approached the famous Mexican painter, Diego Rivera, whose work she admired, asking him for advice about pursuing art as a career.

Their marriage often was tumultuous. Notoriously, both Kahlo and Rivera had fiery temperaments and both had numerous extramarital affairs. The openly bisexual Kahlo had affairs with both men (including Leon Trotsky) and women; Rivera knew of and tolerated her relationships with women, but her relationships with men made him jealous. For her part, Kahlo became outraged when she learned that Rivera had an affair with her younger sister, Cristina. The couple eventually divorced, but remarried in 1940. Their second marriage was as turbulent as the first. Their living quarters often were separate, although sometimes adjacent.

Later years

Active communist sympathizers, Kahlo and Rivera befriended Leon Trotsky as he sought political sanctuary from Joseph Stalin's regime in the Soviet Union. Initially, Trotsky lived with Rivera and then at Kahlo's home, where they reportedly had an affair. Trotsky and his wife then moved to another house in Coyoacan where, later, he was assassinated.

A few days before Frida Kahlo died on July 13, 1954, she wrote in her diary: "I hope the exit is joyful - and I hope never to return - Frida". The official cause of death was given as pulmonary embolism, although some suspected that she died from overdose that may or may not have been accidental. An autopsy was never performed. She had been very ill throughout the previous year and her right leg had been amputated at the knee, owing to gangrene. She also had a bout of bronchopneumonia near that time, which had left her quite frail.

Later, in his autobiography, Diego Rivera wrote that the day Kahlo died was the most tragic day of his life, adding that, too late, he had realized that the most wonderful part of his life had been his love for her.

A pre-Columbian urn holding her ashes is on display in her former home, La Casa Azul (The Blue House), in Coyoacan. Today it is a museum housing a number of her works of art and numerous relics from her personal life.

Task 2 The Eatwell chart

       Eatwell Chart

Eat well chart, it's a diagram food. It gives the criteria for nutritional guidance.

Purpose

It is to get people who have a normal body weight, maintained. In addition, this helps our digestive system more functional because depending on what we eat, is how the digestive system will react. It also seeks to reorient those poor to other healthier eating patterns, which help prevent and control disease. The dish was created as a graphical representation of the different types of foods to include every meal and their proportion, considering the physiognomic characteristics of Mexicans. It seeks to be a diet:

·  Balanced: have a fully balanced diet.

·  Innocuous: their consumption is not bad for health; it is not toxic or harmful to the body.

·  Enough: the food is not too little or too excessive.

·  Varied: including all the nutrients needed for good nutrition.

·  Right: the diet is based on each person. You have to take the biological, psycho-emotional and sociological factors into account.

types of hauses

 1° Japanese-style house

 I like this house because most rooms do not have specific utility, they can be used as a bedroom or living room. I think they are warmer and I like the shapes of their beds, you may also integrate a quiet and peace full garden.

I also like the small but practical places.

2° Castel

 I like castles medieval times, and I would love to live in a castle.

I think they are very spacious and are so monumental that transmit me a good feeling.

3° Kit Hause

As mentioned in the first house I like practical places, small, so this house refers to that and also part of one of my favorite times as it is the beginning of the 20th century.

-The Simple Present tense is used to describe habitual actions that happen frequently and makes no reference to whether it is happening at present.

The simple present tense indicates an action in the present time which is not finished. This can be a habitual action (something done regularly such as brushing your teeth every day) or a general truth.
